New Hotels in Cincinnati, Ohio
Cincinnati is in the middle of its most active hotel cycle in decades, and there is a single reason for it: the city's convention centre reopened in January 2026 after a complete rebuild, and the hotel pipeline has been following it downtown ever since. If you're searching for new hotels in Cincinnati
or Cincinnati hotels opening soon, this page tracks every genuinely recent opening and everything still under development across the metro.
The headline arrival is the Fidelity Hotel, which opened in July 2026 inside the Gwynne Building — a 13-story Beaux-Arts landmark from 1913, listed on the National Register, commissioned by Alice Claypoole Gwynne Vanderbilt and designed by Ernest Flagg. It is New Waterloo's largest project to date: 165 rooms including 17 suites, two bunkrooms and a presidential suite, with interiors by Looney & Associates, a full-service restaurant, a lobby bar, a corner café and market, and 7,770 sq ft of event space anchored by the 2,575 sq ft Vanderbilt Ballroom. Its sister property in Cleveland opened in January 2025 and was awarded One Michelin Key in the 2025 guide, which sets a high bar for what the brand is attempting here.
Two more opened downtown before it. Moxy Cincinnati Downtown
arrived in 2025 with 111 rooms, a coffee shop that doubles as the lobby bar, an outdoor courtyard and a rooftop bar, designed around a "modern Bavarian" theme that nods to the city's German heritage and the brewing history of Over-the-Rhine. voco The Clair Cincinnati Downtown
debuted in January 2025 at Broadway and 7th after a year-long interior transformation of the former Holiday Inn & Suites, bringing IHG's upscale boutique brand to the city with 117 rooms, Pennyflower Bistro & Bar, an indoor pool and 2,800 sq ft of meeting space, minutes from Procter & Gamble's headquarters.
Outside the core, two recent openings offer the same freshness at lower rates. Hotel Celare
opened in September 2024 in Midtown as a $65 million, 171-room Tribute Portfolio property with a rooftop bar and a 2,600 sq ft ballroom, walking distance from the University of Cincinnati. And Home2 Suites by Hilton Cincinnati Midtown Oakley
followed in December 2024 with all-suite accommodation, full kitchens, an indoor pool and free parking about fifteen minutes east of downtown.
The pipeline ahead is substantial for a city this size. Hyatt Centric Cincinnati
will bring 170 rooms to the AT580 building downtown as the brand's Ohio debut, with guestrooms designed around commissioned work from local artists. A Home2 Suites
is due downtown in late 2026 with 113 rooms two blocks from the convention centre. And the largest project of all — a Marriott-flagged convention headquarters hotel
developed by Portman alongside the modernised centre — is slated to begin construction in 2026.
Whether you're in town for a convention, a Reds or Bengals game, a university visit or a weekend in Over-the-Rhine, booking one of Cincinnati's newest hotels means modern rooms and properties still working to earn their first reviews. We keep this page updated as new properties open and development timelines shift.
