The newest major opening is Denū Hotel & Spa, a 236-room downtown tower that welcomed its first guests in September 2026 as the city’s first full-service spa hotel. In the West Valley, Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Buckeye Phoenix and LivAway Suites Glendale both opened in March 2026.
Is VAI Resort in Glendale open?
No. VAI Resort has not opened and has no confirmed date. It missed its 2023, 2025 and 2026 targets, and the developer says it will announce an opening about nine months in advance. Listings that describe it as open are wrong.
Is the Fairmont Phoenix still being built?
No. The downtown Fairmont Phoenix tower planned for 39 East Jackson Street stalled after the developer defaulted, and the site was sold back to its lender at a foreclosure auction in January 2025. There is no active Fairmont project in Phoenix.
