The Gunter Hotel, a Beaux-Arts downtown landmark since 1909, reopened after a $57 million restoration as a Tribute Portfolio hotel — 311 rooms, each with a record player and Robert Johnson’s first album, a rooftop pool, the Jots restaurant, the Keystone Club and Bar 414, named for the room where Johnson recorded in 1936. Spurs nights and big downtown events fill it first.
